Exercise Physiology
The Exercise Physiology department has a number of different functions. Treadmill stress testing is a primary exam which may be performed in conjunction with the Nuclear Medicine department, or as a stand-alone exam. Holter Monitors, Ambulatory Blood Pressure checks, and King of Heart exams are also performed in this department. These exams check for abnormal heart rhythms, rapid or slow heart beats, and blood pressure fluctuations. Our Exercise Physiologist also offers general exercise counseling for particular disease states (e.g. diabetes, hypertension, weight loss) specific measurements such as body fat analysis, and maximal and submaximal fitness testing.
